Bio
I never thought I would have a homepage, why would I? Then because of You, sweet appreciative loving people, asking me all the time, actually nagging me about it – here it is.
I also want to apologize for writing in English but I meet people from many different countries and it would not be fair if I wrote in Swedish.

This biopage should be a presentation of the things I have done, like records, huge concerts and other cool stuff.
However, since I am just an ordinary girl with no higher wish than surrounding myself with music I am not going to do that, cause I have nothing to say. At least that was true until late 2009 - that was when I got my debut album done.
"As Good As It Gets" is something I am very proud of and I will tell You all about the making of it, but not here.
This is a short summery of a couple of things done.
I was born in 1974, raised in a small suburb called Skälby outside Stockholm. My "career" started in school, 1983, where we had singing competitions. My family ruled these competitions for five years…(smiling) Actually, my sister, Helena born in 1971, was the one starting to sing and making me sing as well. Very non-psychological, our mother told her she did not have talent for it…but that I did. She then immediately stopped singing, I continued.
In 1987, I participated another competition. This was in Valdemarsvik, hometown of my mom and grandmother. Winning this one gave me the opportunity to record a demo, very exciting for a girl my age. One year later I went to Skara, doing their competition. A great learning-lesson, you cannot win them all…This same year I met my band, Coast. Four great guys, older than I was. They taught me a lot, amongst other that I was obstinate. At the time, I did not know the meaning of that word. Now I do.
"Folkparkernas Talangjakt" was in 1990. This was a countrywide competition. Winning this one gave me many advantages, also money to buy my first studio. There were a lot of record deals circulating after this but I acted very mature and told everyone that school was too important not to attend. My school, Södra Latin, was a music gymnasium. This is where I met Lena Jinnegren. We started singing together; the duo "Lena & Alexandra" still exists today, not as active though. I played in lots of different bands, was a soloist in a choir called Ten Sing, member of a quartet called "Stage Four", in a trio called Mama Moose and other constellations, when I, after ending school, decided to work as a music teacher. Teaching AND touring became too much after more than five years of double work. I had to make a choice. I said goodbye to my students, then "Lena & Alexandra" went to Northern Norway.

The first tour was in November 1997. We had a couple of fantastic years up north. I guess we did well over five hundred gigs there. The duo also went to Kosovo and Macedonia, year 2001 and 2002, playing for KFOR soldiers.
2002 was the year I started playing at the Viking Line ships, doing about 100 gigs every year there. I still do things in between...mostly gigs in Sweden, Finland and Norway and of course, the debut album:)

"AS GOOD AS IT GETS "
I started touring by myself, in 2000, still doing it - loving it.

Strange gigs and funny facts:
Singing for the Swedish King and Queen in 1993.
Globen 1991, 15 000 people, at Stlm Venue.
Street Musician, Sthlm T-central and Västerlånggatan and also Ströget in Denmark inspired by Springsteen
(check this out) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWQV7agBFtE
Appeard in the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest in 1997, with friend Andreas Lundstedt. Alexandra fake playing keyboards.
Rock concert with Trio Me' Bumba 1991, where I also "kissed" Håkan Södergren while mumbling; Heja Djurgården!
Replaced Lizette Pålsson in Stage Four, who came up with that idea and why did I say yes?
Singing and DANCING(?!) with Stage Four (Me, Lena Jinnegren, Andreas Lundsted and Peter Jöback)
was probably the most awkward thing I've done on stage.
Playing "The River" on a slippery ice. IK Comet Halden, had their 2nd break playing against I don't even remember.
Concert in Kautokeino, Norway, during the Sami Grand Prix (joik competition)...two years in a row. Where they also held
reindeer races.
At the pub at Svalbard, Norway, people had to leave their rifles behind the counter before they ordered
their first beer. When they left the pub, drunk as ever, they got the rifle back, sat up on their scooter
and drove home.
